What it is: The convertible version of the refreshed Continental GT. The restyling is subtle, but no body panels are shared with the previous generation.
Why it matters: The Conti models are the bestselling Bentleys ever. While not as expensive as the brand’s traditional models, these Bentleys still rest comfortably above German rivals. The restyled GTC will give wealthy convertible shoppers something to think about.
Platform: An upgraded and updated two-door VW Phaeton hull that is about 150 pounds lighter than before.
Powertrain: The twin-turbocharged, 6.0-liter W-12 carries over with slightly more power (567 horses). There also will be a turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 shared with the Audi S8; we reckon it will make about 475 horsepower in the Bentley. Expect variations of the Speed and Supersport kind with well over 600 horsepower to follow the debut of the GTC.
